Free support and funding for local businesses
If you run a business in Mid Devon you may be able to get free support and funding through several schemes, some of which are closing for applications soon!

There are free discussions with business advisors; free memberships to sector organisations with mentoring, training and advertising; funding for enhancing shopfronts, signage and websites.
- Free business support and advice including on topics of growing and adopting new practices, green business support, start-up support, employing staff. More information: https://businessinfopoint.co.uk/prosper/ and in the poster attached below.
- Free or low cost 12 months membership of Food Drink Devon for Mid Devon food and drink businesses (retailers, hospitality venues and related businesses). Benefits include mentoring and support, training and opportunities to participate in events, as well as use of the Food Drink Devon green heart logo. - Support and funding schemes for town centre businesses– Love Your Town Centre (current application rounds close on Tuesday 31 December). Small grants offered, focused mainly on Cullompton, Tiverton and Crediton. The three schemes currently open are:
– Grants of up to £2,500 to help improve shopfronts or signage.– Fit-out grants of up to £2,500 to Small and Medium Enterprises / community groups to help bring new commercial, community and leisure opportunities into the town centres.
– Grants of up to £1,500 to SMEs / community groups to help independent high street retailers, leisure and tourism businesses establish or upgrade e-commerce websites.
- Free membership of Visit Mid Devon – Available to tourism and hospitality businesses. Free listing on the Visit Mid Devon website and events calendar, inclusion in promotional campaigns. Website – visitmiddevon.co.uk.
