Local Government Reorganisation – which would see Burlescombe Parish becoming a part of a new 'Devon Coast and Country' area – has been paused by the Government. See the announcement and the responses from Mid Devon District Council and Devon County Council below.

Portions of the A38 between Appledore and the Somerset border will be closed overnight for the next seven weeks to allow for resurfacing works. The works will start at 7pm and finish by 6am.
A fence has fallen down on the Old Railway Line. The Council is arranging works to remove it before assessing the best option for a replacement.
