Join the community Spring Clean-Up Day!
On Sunday 26 April from 11am-1pm, we'll be rolling up our sleeves and doing some little jobs to help keep the parish tidy. We’d love for as many residents as possible to join us!

Whether you’re young, old or in-between – there will be jobs suitable for anyone to get involved in. This is a great chance to get to know others, do something good for the area and hopefully have fun at the same time.
We’re hoping to complete a few different jobs, including:
- litter picking
- tidying up overgrown plants on the Burlescombe side of the old railway line
- cleaning moss off the matting in Westleigh playpark
- giving the telephone box in Westleigh a clean
The plan is to meet at 11am, and you can choose either to come to:
- The picnic benches on the Old Railway Line, just behind the Burlescombe field/playpark
OR - Westleigh playpark
Litter picking equipment will be provided. Please bring gloves if you can and wear suitable footwear. We’ll be sorting some refreshments, but you may wish to bring water, especially if it is a warm day.
If you do have other equipment that might be useful (e.g. secateurs) feel free to bring them – we’ll provide what we can.
Under 18s will need an adult to take responsibility for them. You’ll be asked to sign a volunteer form at the start of the session.
Spread the word among your neighbours and we hope to see you there!
