Councillors Forward and McDonald attended an Emergency Plan Workshop in May.
It was clear that developing an emergency plan for a community is a very worthwhile, but also significant, undertaking. It will involve bringing a lot of people together to work on many different aspects of responding to potential emergencies, such as power cuts or flooding.
The Council will, in time, work with the community to develop a plan, but in the meantime residents can find advice on the government’s Prepare website https://prepare.campaign.gov.uk/get-prepared-for-emergencies/.
It includes a printable household emergency plan that we’d encourage people to download and fill in.
