What can we do to support Devon’s wildlife?
A new nature recovery strategy aims to help us all in our efforts to take care of our natural world.

The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. While Devon has more diverse habitats and species than many other counties, our nature is in decline, despite the fantastic efforts of many organisations and people.
Devon has just published its first Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). It’s designed to help us reverse declines in nature by identifying the most important things we need to do and where we most need to do them.
The LNRS is for everyone, because we all have our part to play. Whether you’re a farmer, forester, other land manager, gardener, volunteer, planner, developer, educator, community group, funder, policymaker, voter, or lover of Devon’s wild spaces, the LNRS has an action you can take to help nature recover.
