Report road issues this winter

Everyone can report and follow progress with issues on the roads.

Winter is setting in and now is the time when we tend to see more issues on our roads. Potholes, blocked drains, flooding, ice and fallen branches can all pose hazards for drivers and pedestrians.

The Parish Council does all it can to highlight issues to Devon County Council (DCC). We liaise closely with our Devon County Councillor Simon Clist (who sits on the Mid Devon Highways and Traffic Orders Committee) to represent residents’ needs.

Grit bins have all been checked recently and grit ordered for those that are running low. Anyone can use the grit from these bins to combat ice on public roads.

Everyone can report issues, and this can really help to get things dealt with more quickly.

If you spot a problem like the ones above, make sure to report it via the DCC website here https://www.devon.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/report-a-problem/. By clicking on an existing report on the map, you can add yourself to a report and get updates on progress.
